I noticed that in both cases the h is not pronounced, so it sounds like "Antony". I was just wondering why the name is pronounced that way. Is it a case of British verses American pronunciation (no offense intended)?

No offense at all -
In the UK, we generally pronounce the name Anthony as "An-Ton-ee" with a hard 't' sound, as opposed to "An-thon-ee", like in the US. There's no specific reason for it, it's just a quirk of being separated by a common language :)
