At times, Cora is rather thin brained. She makes decisions that are adverse to her husband's sensibilities. One such case is yet another invitation to have Branson's friend, Bunting join the family for dinner. This woman has a difficult interaction with everyone she meets. I'm wondering what Fellowes' end game is for her, because she is an antagonist with everyone. And quite frankly, I find her worrisome and tiresome. Because she is always on the side or arguing, I can't see love budding between her and Branson. She isn't really tender toward him, especially not enough to charm him. And she is a foe toward his father in law, who's approval he has acquired. I'd sorta like her to either go lead a revolution somewhere or get knocked up and married to some guy that upholds all these values she supposedly believes in. She just a troll who's welcome on Downton Abbey should've worn out by now. What do you think of her and the writer's end game for her?
