Apparently this forum was made twice and I posted in the other where no one else has, so I'm copying and repasting what I wrote there:

I definitely would love to see a Downton abbe film. Four years though might be stretching it far for a single film. They could always do a couple films focusing on a couple years, but if just one then perhaps 1-2 years.

It would be nice to hear Marigold talk more and to see more of Sybbie, George, Victoria, and John and Anna's son. In addition, we know from the season 6 holiday episode that Mary was going to have a child with Henry. Personally I would like their child to be a girl. I would also like to see Edith have a son and heir with Bertie. Here are my votes for their names: Edward "Ned" Bates, Katherine "Kate" Talbot, and Arthur "Artie" Pelham.

Someting else I would be willing to watch if it were done would be a Downton Abbey Next Generation film showing the children growing up and participating in World War II. Downton could perhaps be a convalescent home again, and we could see the return of Ethel Parks's son Charlie and Lord Sinderby's illegitimate son, Daniel Clark.

Here's another thought regarding the next generation. In other forums the absence of Larry Grey's younger brother was noted while Lord Merton cut Larry and Amelia out of his life and gave them his estate. What if Larry and Amelia were to both perish in some sort of accident, but not before having a child? In addition to Tim Grey perhaps feeling a desire to make amends with his father and stepmother, together they could be a better influence on Larry and Amelia's child, who would grow up and not become the snobs his or her parents were.

On the other hand, Larry and Amelia might want Amelia's parents to be their child's guardian instead of Tim. We haven't met Amelia's parents, and there is the possiblity they could be like her and Larry as opposed to Merton and Isobel (similar to Rose's elder siblings, who could be like Susan as we've never seen them). Tim and his sister-in-law's parents could clash over a child, but on the other hand one movie shouldn't be overcrowed (they could do a film series but they also might not); it might be safer if Larry and Amelia died childless, Tim becomes the heir and makes amends with his father and stepmother before marrying and siring an heir himself.
