One of the many things that have fueled my addiction to our favorite TV show is the kindness (big or small) that is shown by the different characters (major or minor) throughout all 6 seasons.
Some are unexpected, others are elaborate and/or coincidental but they all add to the wonders of this story that I enjoy watching over and over again.
One instance I really enjoy watching involves Bates and Molesley. Bates found a way to make Molesley accept money from him when Molesly was down and out and struggling to pay his bills. Of course Bates did this for the most part to make Anna happy but I think he also wanted to help Molesley out. Bates had to call on the Dowager for assistance and he had to forge Molesley's signature to make it happen.
Molesley's reaction and that whole scene at the servants table ranks high on my favorite scenes to watch. I think Kevin Doyle played that scene out extremely well. Humble, happy, grateful and overwhelmed all in one short scene.
