I said that above; if he was kidnapped or they threatened Edith, then he'd remain quiet.
What does the above mean?
Do you think they should explain this? Also I thought it was weird how none of the characters noticed the massive time difference
Hi -- I was clinging to the hope that Gregson would be working for the French Resistance or something , and had to "seem dead" to lay low.Ā C'mon, JFĀ !!!! how about it?
French resistance would be World War II, but conceivably, if he had not been imprisoned and then after a long time managed to escape, he could have snuck out of Munich during the fight and someone mistakenly got identified as him, and during that time had to lay low for some other reason as he waited for the right time to get back to England. If only he did return next season, but I'm almost out of hope.
He's definitely gone. Haven't you all learned by now? Heartwrenching, life shattering shit always happens to Edith!
I predict that his return will be the big surprise in the final Christmas special episode. She really didn't trust the Marquis that she neslry married. So, Mr G will appear out of the ether, having been 'lost' in some German hospital or experienced some other interveening disaster that prevented his return. So, Mother, Father and Marigold will be reuinited and all will live ahppily ever after.
So is there a possibility that Samson had him murdered for his card skills, or did it himself? He lost a lot of money to Gregson, and political turmoil would make a great cover for disappearing someone.
