I noticed that in both cases the h is not pronounced, so it sounds like "Antony". I was just wondering why the name is pronounced that way. Is it a case of British verses American pronunciation (no offense intended)?

No offense at all -
In the UK, we generally pronounce the name Anthony as "An-Ton-ee" with a hard 't' sound, as opposed to "An-thon-ee", like in the US. There's no specific reason for it, it's just a quirk of being separated by a common language :)
I hope that helps!
That's what I thought it was; just wasn't sure.
I mean no offence in my words, but I thought it was pronounces "An-Ton-ee" everywhere in the world and that there was no difference?
Here in America, I've always heard it pronounced "An-Thon-ee" but that's just me. No offense taken.
