Canningford Grange is the home of the Aldridge family.
When Lord Sinderby purchased it, the house was in ruins. He used his vast wealth to renovate it.
In 1924, when Lord Sinderby rented Brancaster Castle in Northumberland for the grouse season, he took his butler Stowell from Canningford with him.
