The green swathes of lawn of the Dower House are where the Dowager Countess entertains her visitors with tea on the days of nice weather. It is lined on either side with flower beds and a small set of white cast iron table and chairs sit in the alcove of the border. A blossom tea stands to one side and a perimeter wall that is against the house.
