The Earl of Grantham is a title of peerage which, as of 1920, is held by Robert Crawley. The holder is always styled "Lord Grantham" or "His Lordship." The rank of nobility is always held by a male, and his wife is styled "Lady Grantham" or "Her Ladyship" as the Countess of Grantham.
The current heir to the earldom is Matthew Crawley, the third cousin once removed of Robert.
