Episode 3.06 is the sixth episode of the third season of Downton Abbey, and the twenty-second episode overall.

Set in Autumn 1920. Tom decides to name his daughter Sybil and wants to baptize her in the Catholic Church and Robert is firmly opposed to both decisions. However, Mary and the rest of the family defend Tom. To repair Cora and Robert's marriage, Violet pressures Dr. Clarkson into going back on his assertion that Sybil had a slim chance of living if she underwent a C-section. He tells Cora and Robert that Sybil would have surely died either way, and Cora forgives Robert.

Anna finds evidence that may prove her husband innocent, but Craig and Durrant threaten his chances of freedom. After Bates threatens them, Murray, the local solicitor, is able to ensure Bates will be released. Daisy is upset that Alfred is paying a lot of attention to Ivy. She later visits Mr. Mason and receives a huge offer: he wishes to name her his sole heir and asks her to move to his farm so that he may teach her how to run it. She tells Mrs. Patmore of this offer, but has not decided if she will accept. Ethel prepares a luncheon for the Crawley women and gets Mrs. Patmore to help her, despite Carson strictly forbidding any of Downton's staff to help Ethel because of her past. When Robert finds out about the luncheon, he is outraged that Isobel would let a former prostitute serve lunch to his family. However, Cora and the women ignore his protests.
