Summary
Returning to Downton in 1924, a new Labour government heralds changes that are being felt throughout the land, as well as above and below stairs.
As members of the house reel from the night's alarming events, Robert is faced with a difficult decision. While Daisy continues to struggle with her studies, Mrs Patmore's bright idea may solve everything. Elsewhere, Thomas seems determined to make Baxter's life a misery, and his meddling could scupper her friendship with Molesley. Rose attempts to convince Robert of the benefits of having a wireless at Downton, Lord Merton continues his pursuit of Isobel, and Anna becomes a reluctant accessory when Mary puts her reputation on the line.
