The Ripon Register Office was a government office in Ripon where births, deaths and marriages were officially recorded and where one could get married without a religious ceremony. Its opening hours were Monday to Friday, from nine o'clock to four o'clock.
John Bates and Anna Smith got married here in a quiet ceremony, in 1919.
