Henry Lascelles, Viscount Lascelles, is the son and heir of the Earl of Harewood, and the husband of Princess Mary, making him the son-in-law of King George V and Queen Mary.

At Harewood House in 1927, Henry walks in on his wife hosting Cora Crawley, Mary Talbot, and Edith Pelham. His and Princess Mary's two sons are present, and he orders the nanny to take them away and not bring them down again later, to his wife's dismay.

He is absent from the royal parade, but attends the royal ball. As he dances with his wife, she tells him that they have things in common and will have to change--she has decided to stay with him and try to make their marriage work.
