Hugh Bonneville (born as Hugh Richard Bonneville Williams on 10th November, 1963; Blackheath, England), also credited as Richard Bonneville early in his career, is the actor who plays Robert Crawley in Downton Abbey.
Bonneville attended Cambridge university and Webber Douglas Academy of Dramatic Art. He has appeared in many television series including Doctor Who, Poirot and The Vicar of Dibley.
He was in the movie From Time to Time (2009) directed by Julian Fellowes with Maggie Smith, David Robb, Daisy Lewis, Allen Leech, Christine Lohr, Harriet Walter, and Dominic West.
On October 1, 2023, a representative for Bonneville reported that he had separated from his wife after 25 years of marriage in September.
In mid-October 2024, he confirmed he was in a relationship with influencer Heidi Kadlecova.

- Bonneville had a cameo role in the pilot episode of Da Vinci's Demons, a series whose main cast includes Downton co-stars Michael Culkin and James Faulkner. Faulkner and Bonneville also starred together in a TV adaptation of Ben-Hur, alongside Stephen Campbell Moore.
