Julian Ovenden (born November 29th, 1976; Sheffield, England) was the stage, television and film actor and singer who portrayed Charles Blake in Series 4 of Downton Abbey.

He reunited with Downton co-stars Tom Cullen and Jim Carter in the television show Knightfall. He also starred in The Crown, as did Matthew Goode, Anna Chancellor, Harry Hadden-Paton, Kate Phillips, and Ed Cooper Clarke.

He and Chancellor were guest stars on the show Death in Paradise, as were James Faulkner, Rob James-Collier, James Fox, Joanna David, Adrian Lukis, Zoe Boyle, Amy Nuttall, Kevin Doyle, and Julian Wadham. Gary Carr had been part of the main cast.
