Malton is the fictional version of a market town, civil parish, and electoral ward in North Yorkshire, England that was historically part of the North Riding of Yorkshire. It is located about 17.5 miles (28 km) northeast of York.
It is only mentioned as the town where kitchen maid Ivy Stuart previously worked.
