Rita Bevan is trying to blackmail Lady Mary about her secret romance that she spent with Anthony Foyle.

Biography

Bevan, through unknown means, has discovered the secret romance of Mary Crawley and Anthony Foyle that the latter and the former experienced in 1924.

Series 6

Before or after a riding, Mary approaches Bevan who stands near the front door of the Abbey. Mary does not recognize Bevan, but the latter apparently claims that she "knows" Mary. After presumably conversing with her, Mary walks away with a worried look on her face.
