Lady Rose MacClare[1] (played by Lily James) is the daughter of The Marquess and Marchioness of Flintshire and the great-niece of Violet Crawley, Dowager Countess of Grantham. At some point in 1920 or 1921, she will visit Downton Abbey.
Her mother's childless cousin, Lady Rosamund Painswick, takes a great interest in her romantic love life.
