Molesley's age[]

Why would Molesley lie about his age, when his actual age made him ineligable for conscription?

We know he did because both Isobel and Violet mention that he is eligible and it's only though Molesley lying to Doctor Clarkson that gets him out of the war. Either he was laying about his age in 1916 (given what he did with his hair to make him appear younger, this is entirely possible) or the age of conscription went up in 1916 in the DA universe. --HarryPotterRules1 (talk) 06:27, September 23, 2014 (UTC)

I think this is one of those things that we should put down as a mistake.
If Molesley could have avoided the war he would have done - therefore logically he can't have been meant to be too old for conscription when the episode was written. However, the last episode clearly states his age - therefore it's an error that can't really be reasoned out. We can't say that he lied about his age when logically he would have never done that and we have no evidence in canon to say he did - in fact we have pretty solid evidence that if he had been too old for conscription he would have been only too eager to tell everyone and get out of the fighting for a legitimate reason. --Amateur Obsessive (talk) 12:44, September 23, 2014 (UTC)
I am going to delete the sentence in the reference regarding lying about his age for conscription. I just make sure there is a real good reason before deleting anyone else's work (vandalism not withstanding).
