The United Kingdom (UK) is a constitutional monarchy in Western Europe, located on the British Isles in the North Sea and North Atlantic Ocean. It consists of England, Scotland and Wales on the island of Great Britain. It also covers Northern Ireland on the island of Ireland, and included the entire Ireland island until 1921.
Its capital and largest city is London. The northeastern UK is the main setting for Downton Abbey.
