Miss Wilkins is Susan MacClare, Marchioness of Flintshire's lady's maid at Duneagle Castle when the Crawley family visit the castle.[1] She at first appears to be happy to meet Sarah O'Brien saying that: "It's a treat to have a kindred spirit come to stay, it really is." She however does not wish to go to Bombay and does not respect Lady Flintshire, as Wilkins says she always makes a fuss.
Later however she grows bitterly jealous of Sarah due to the attention Susan pays her when asking for Sarah's help with her hair style. She spikes Sarah's drink during the Gillies Ball with whiskey that she got from Nield. However Sarah realizes what has been done and doesn't finish the drink. Molesley drinks it and goes wild. O'Brien asks Wilkins if she's proud, and is glad she does feel happy that she does not need to feel loyal to her.
Notes
- When O'Brien sneaks away from Downton Abbey to be lady's maid to Susan in India, it means Wilkins either resigned or was fired.
