William "Billy" Allsopp, the Lord Aysgarth, is a nobleman who meets the Crawleys and Levinsons in 1923.
Martha Levinson and her son Harold make quite an impression on him. Having a title but no fortune, he sets his sights on Martha's fortune, and encourages his daughter Madeleine to spend time with Harold.
However Martha turns him down because she is a modern woman with no interest in a title or living in England. But she does propose that he come visit her in Newport and she could introduce him to some rich widows with more interest in titles than she is.
